About

Hello Internet,

From a young age I always have wanted to put a dent on the universe.

It all started with receiving the Bitcoin whitepaper from Satoshi Nakamoto on a mailing list back in October 2008. Under multiple pseudonyms I have contributed (basic) code to Bitcoin Core during its infancy.

I played with iPhone OS security, back when iOS was still known as iPhone OS; LLVM compilers; and Android embedded kernel & OS development for a couple of years. Then I went back to the blockchain space, building one of the earliest teams to work with Ethereum and the concept of smart contracts - which ultimately failed.

I helped build the world's first liquid staking derivatives (LSTs) cofounded by a friend I deeply respect; the team eventually got acqui-hired by Terra. At Terra, our team helped build Anchor Protocol, a savings product built on Terra's algorithmic stablecoin - which, unfortunately, collapsed in one of the largest financial crashes in history.

After leaving Terra, I worked on two more startups, both of which also failed. Only then I finally realized my secret sauce for growth - torturing myself until I make it - is no longer working.

Did I manage to put a dent on the universe? In many ways, I have. Just not in the ways I have expected.

My primary areas of interest are computer science, cryptography, and economics, all three of which I have taught myself.

I am also interested in startups and political science. In general, I love learning about how the world functions, even if it is outside of my usual comfort zone.

Currently I am cooking interesting projects at Conway Research alongside the founder, Sigil Wen.
